Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on November 16, 2012 - John W. Fountain, 73, of Kingman passed away at his home on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012. He was born Oct. 9, 1939, in Loco, Okla., to Jim and Johnnie Fountain. He came to Kingman 20 years ago from Vacaville, Calif. John graduated from Dos Palos High School in 1958 and joined the U.S. Navy, serving from 1958 to 1962. He was a truck driver for 40 years; he was a 3-million-mile safe driver. He was a member of the Teamsters and the union shop steward. John is survived by his brother, Al (Silvia) Fountain of Poulsbo, Wash.; his son, John R. (Carla) Fountain of Syracuse, Utah; his daughter, Linda Hollowell of Taylorsville, Utah; three grandchildren, Zach Fountain, Catherine (Luke) Pomeroy and Adam Hollowell; and one great-grandchild, Phoebe Hollowell. His favorite pastimes were getting together with friends and family. He was happiest when riding his motorcycle in the motorcycle club, golfing, boating, traveling and fishing. On behalf of the family, a special thanks to Randy and Pat, and his Hot Rod Café family. In lieu of a memorial service, John would like his family and friends to remember all of the special moments they shared with him through the years.
