MARTINEZ, Jose E. (Cachon)

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Tuesday, November 20, 2012 Jose E. "Cachon" Martinez, 75, of Buckeye died Sept. 18, 2012, at his home. Mr. Martinez was born May 31, 1937, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, to Juanita and Porfirio Martinez. He retired from the Arlington School District around 2000. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Maria Rosario Martinez; three daughters, Claudia Martinez, Teresa Martinez and Carmen Collantes, all of Buckeye; three sons, Jose E. Martinez Jr., and Susano Martinez of Buckeye and Daniel Martinez of Dayton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Laura Cruz and Maria Martinez of Montebello, Calif., and Manuela Martinez of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico; and one brother, Jorge Martinez of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. A service was held Sept. 20 at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Buckeye, and he was buried Sept. 22 in El Llano, Mexico.
