ABRIL, Eliza

Mesa Heritage Mortuary Mesa, Arizona March 2005 Eliza Abril, age 80, Passed away February 27, 2005 in Mesa, Arizona. Eliza was born in Morenci, Arizona May 10, 1924. She was raised in Sonora, Arizona. After her marriage to Frank Abril, she moved to Woodmere, Long Island, New York. She loved the life and excitement of the "Big Apple" and became a true New Yorker. She was Office Manager for the International Division of Phillip Morris in New York City for many years. In 1988, she moved back to Kearney, Arizona. She and Frank maintained a home in Kearney and also one in Gold Canyon. She has over 30 nieces and nephews mostly in California and Arizona. She loved to travel and Las Vegas was one of her favorite haunts. When asked how she was, she usually answered "Not bad for an old lady." She will be missed for her humorous statements and infectious smile. God and His Angels are enjoying what we are missing!! Arrangements for Eliza will be handled by Mesa Heritage Mortuary, 5650 E. Main St.
