CARPENTER, Jimmy

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Thursday, November 23, 2012 Jimmy Carpenter, 64, of Buckeye died Nov. 19, 2012, at his home from kidney cancer. Mr. Carpenter was born Nov. 1, 1948, in Dekalb, Texas, to Hollis Carpenter and Sadie Oliver. He moved to Arizona in 1984. He was a welder and mechanic and a member of the reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his wife, Rose Carpenter; two daughters, Christina Carpenter and Holly Giffin of Haslet, Texas; two sons, Jimmy Carpenter Jr. and Randall Carpenter of Lubbock, Texas; his mother, Sadie Oliver of Roach, Mo.; one sister, Janice Caldwell of Kansas City, Mo.; and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 1 at the family's residence. The Rev. Lonnie Caldwell will officiate. Memorials can be sent to Rose Carpenter at 2303 N. 199th Ave., Buckeye, AZ 85396-6683.
