Evergreen Mortuary & Cemetery, Tucson, Arizona Gertrude Hauer September 25, 1921 ~ October 15, 2012 Gertrude “Trudy” Hauer, 91, born September 25, 1921 in New York, NY, died October 15, 2012 in Tucson. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Sol Hauer. Devoted mother of Michael (Maralyn) Hauer and Barbara (Lyn) Doose; dear sister of Bernard Altman; cherished grandmother of Matthew (Julie) Hauer, Jonathan (Maggie) Hauer; Brian Doose; great grandmother of Amanda, Jenna, Eliza and Chloe. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. She touched the hearts of many and will be missed by all, especially her longtime friends. Trudy was a lover of life and the fine arts. She had deep political opinions, hated war and always sought justice. She was an avid Mahjong and Bridge player who had a great sense of humor and always laughed at her own jokes. Trudy enjoyed a successful career in real estate. She was very affectionate and, most importantly, loved her family. Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2012, 3:00 PM in the B’nai B’rith Section of Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
