TURETZKY, Ben

Evergreen Mortuary & Cemetery, Tucson, Arizona Ben Turetzky, 99, of Tucson, died October 24, 2009. Born September 9, 1910, in Maywood, IL to Jacob and Bella Turetzky. Ben and his wife, Sonya, moved to Tucson in 2001 from Illinois and lived with their son Jerry and his wife, Judith. He just recently celebrated his 99th birthday on September 9 and his 74th wedding anniversary on June 23. Prior to retirement, Ben worked as a photo engraver in the publishing business. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lisa. He is survived by his wife, Sonya of Tucson; daughter, Eileen (Jim) Ruzeck; son, Jerry (Judith)Turetzky all of Tucson; grandchildren, Wendy, Andrea (Bob), Brittney, Robin and Steven; eight great-grandchildren. Service will be Monday, October 26, 2009, at 2:00 PM, EVERGREEN MORTUARY, with Rabbi Joseph Weizenbaum officiating. Interment will follow in the B'nai Brith section of EVERGREEN CEMETERY, N.
