Johnie Tod Casey

Johnie T. Casey, 64, passed into heaven on Nov 22, 2012. He was born to Wanda D. Casey and Johnie “Jack” H. Casey on March 16, 1948.
He grew up and went to school in Phoenix, AZ. He did ranch work with his father and family in northern Arizona until he entered the Army, proudly serving his country in Viet Nam as an E-5 Sargent. He earned a Bronze Star and a Medal of Commendation. He was a 40-year member of the American Legion and served as Commander for 4 years at Post 67 in Orting, Washington and was a current member of Post 40 in Chino Valley, AZ.
He helped develop and maintain the air strip at Chino Valley Model Aviation field and loved building and flying remote control planes. He was a master mechanic and could fix anything with a motor. He loved classic cars and was a member of the NSRA. He loved fishing, camping and boating.
His family was his treasure. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Katherine Casey, two sisters Roberta (Casey) Zimmerman, Diana L. Casey and one brother Tommy D. Casey.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the VA Chapel in Prescott.
