OWENS, Don

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Tuesday, November 27, 2012 Don Owens, 78, of Litchfield Park died Nov. 15, 2012, in Peoria. Mr. Owens was born Jan. 24, 1934, in Vernon, Texas, to Henry E. Owens and Laura Mae Rogers. He served in the Army for two years and worked for Arizona Public Service Co. for 35 years. He moved to Arizona at a young age and settled with his family in the Buckeye area, where he attended elementary school and graduated from Buckeye Union High School. The family moved to Goodyear in 1965 and then settled in Litchfield Park. He retired in 1990. He is survived by his wife, Kay Owens; one son, Scott Owens of Litchfield Park; one daughter, Dana Owens Cummings of Scottsdale; one sister, Virginia Owens Taylor; one brother, Wm. Owens; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A celebration of life luncheon will be at noon Dec. 2 at PebbleCreek Tuscany Country Club, 16262 Clubhouse Drive in Goodyear.
