Obituary in the Arizona Republic Newspaper Edwin D. Kano Avondale--Edain D. Kano, 56, a truck driver for Maricopa County who had lived in Arizona since 1925, died Sunday in the Phoenix Veterans Administration Hospital. Mr. Kano served as an Air Force staff sergeant in World War II. Born in Victoria, Texas he came to the Avondale area in 1937 after living at Laveen. Survivors include a daughter Debra; three sons Randa, Dennis and David all of Phoenix,; five sisters Mrs. Grace Clark, Mrs Florence Cornwell, Mrs. Esther Curtis, Mrs Flora Machmer and Mrs. June Cooper, all of Phoenix; four brothers, Ed and S.A., both of Phoenix, Paul of Goodyear and Herbeet of Marysvale, Calif. Graveside rites will be 2 p.m. tomorrow in Greenwood Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today in A.L. Moore and Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams.
