Leroy Crum
Leroy was called home on Nov. 27, 2012.
His parents, Leroy and Sandra Crum, preceded him in death.
Leaving behind his wife Susie; two daughters Sandra and Sarah; sisters Pam and Donna; and a brother Butch; and a special man named Scott Porter, brother-in-law- father.
Leroy was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and a loyal friend. He was a people person, never met a stranger, a people pleaser always willing to help. When called upon he was there with a smile and a kind word. He enjoyed life, he worked hard, loved riding his ranger, playing video games with his younger nephew and being with friends and family and quiet times at home with his wife. When Leroy needed support or advice, he would turn to his sister Donna and husband Scott Porter, who raised him from the time he was a young boy. When he was older he would teasingly call Scott on Father's Day wishing him a happy Father's Day. That was Leroy's way of thanking Scott and Donna for all they had done, for stepping in and loving, and raising him.
He also enjoyed being with his older nephews who he considered as brothers and his nieces who he considered as sisters since they were raised in the same household calling him Uncle Frippy. Leroy's absence will be felt for years to come. His love for his family and friends will hold strong until we see him again. Leroy hated goodbyes so I write this as he would want me to. This isn't goodbye. This is an extended see you later.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2012, at the Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Highway 69, Prescott Valley, Ariz.
The Sunrise Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
