West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Tuesday, December 04, 2012 Carmen M. Chavez, 89, of Avondale died Nov. 27, 2012. Mrs. Chavez was born Jan. 22, 1923, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Guadalupe and Maria Luz Chavez. She was preceded in death by her sons, Francisco Perez and Miguelito Perez. She is survived by six children, Elena Castaneda, Teresa Rivera, Humberto Perez, Miguel Perez, Francisca Renteria and Rosa Martin; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at La Mission Asamblea de Dios, 11147 W. Buckeye Road in Avondale. A service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at La Mission Asamblea de Dios, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 10045 W. Thomas Road in Avondale.
