Jack Leon Whyman, 90, of Arlington died Nov. 30, 2012, at his home.
Mr. Whyman was born Jan. 7, 1922, in Phoenix to Richard and Lucy Tolleson Whyman. He was the grandson of Walter G. Tolleson, founder of the city of Tolleson.
He was engaged in many business activities, including as a cattleman and rancher.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Helen H. Whyman and great-granddaughter, Hannah Marie Turowski.
He is survived by five children, Susanne Straussner, Sandra Whyman, Jack Whyman Jr., Richard Whyman and Lucy Whyman III; his companion, Nancy Keim; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave. in Sun City.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Louis B. Hazelton Memorial Cemetery, 23100 W. Broadway Road in Buckeye. A celebration of life will follow at the family home.
