WILKERSON, JR., Paul Tenery

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 12/07/2012 In loving memory of Paul Tenery Wilkerson, Jr. who passed away following a motorcycle accident Nov. 23, 2012, in Ko Samui, Thailand. His free spirit and healing ways will live in the hearts and minds of those he left behind on both sides of the world. Born April 23, 1946; Pete, as he was also known, was a father, son, brother, uncle and a friend to all. Pete never knew a stranger and seemed to have a natural gift of helping those with whom he encountered. He was a doctor of chiropractic as well as a veteran of the Navy during the Viet Nam War. He was a snowboard and ski instructor at Sunrise Resort. He loved both snowboarding and skiing and in during his enjoyment of these activities, his travels ranged from Vancouver to California all the way to the east cost of New York. Over the years he skied or boarded for thousands of miles. Healing in all ways was a top priority to him. He possessed an aura of light and energy that drew both children and adults to him. He saw himself as a protector of the innocence and a friend to all. He is one of the few that did the inner work enough to find peace on earth. Michael Wilkerson of Bangkok, Thailand and Jason Lee Wilkerson of Denver, Colo.; mother Claretta R. Wilkerson; sisters: Sue Molera, Lynda Aschauer, Lillee Smouse and brother James Wilkerson; grandchildren,: Carter, Bert, and Zac Hamilton. Paul was a friend and lover of life for all. He also left behind friend/soulmate, Janny Baca with whom learned and shared unconditional love and the entire Baca family he was part of for almost 20 years; Bill (like a son to Pete), and his children: Randi Rae, Tre and Belle. Susie Baca, (like a daughter) and her children: Jaden and Tyler Clayton; and Gloria Hunt, ‘Mom’. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul T. Wilkerson Sr. and daughter, Connie Jean Wilkerson. A memorial will be held to celebrate his life April 20, 2013 at Unity of the White Mountains.
