Jerry Dean Wilkerson
(November 10, 1961 - December 6, 2012)
Jerry Dean Wilkerson, 51 of Flagstaff went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2012 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Jerry was born and raised in Illinois. He enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 17 and served 8 ½ years. He worked as an airplane mechanic for many years, working on very large airplanes, helicopters, and smaller private planes while owning his own mechanic business. Jerry also worked for the railroad as a conductor for almost 10 years.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Karen Wilkerson; four children, Dianna Schnabel (Matt), Christopher Wilkerson, Joseph Wilkerson, and Stefanie Wilkerson; two step-children, Jennifer Cook and Jacob Cook; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew, Abby, and Alyssa Schnabel, Brianna & Blake Wilkerson, and Keilan Jean Cook-White; and two brothers Jim (Kathy) Wilkerson and Scott (Latricia) Wilkerson, three nieces & three nephews.
His parents, James Harold and Norma Jean Wilkerson, and a nephew, Jeremiah Wilkerson, preceded Jerry in death.
All that knew him will miss Jerry's wonderful sense of humor, giving personality, and fabulous smile.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Community Church, 3926 S. Walapai Drive, off of Lake Mary Road.
