Lee Joseph Gilpatrick passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 in the arms of his loving wife, Deon. Lee was born June 13, 1932 in Multnomah, Ore. to John and Sidney (Peritt) Gilpatrick.
Lee served his Country in the United States Air Force for one and a half years. Lee had a love of flying and became a crop duster in Oregon and in Blythe, Calif. He flew for 35 years and upon moving to Lake Havasu City, 25 years ago, he became a school bus driver and a tour bus driver for Blue River Tours. Lee also loved to work with wood and no project was too small or too big which explains why he built two of his crop dusting planes. He also loved to travel and was an animal lover. Lee was a member of the Eagles, Elks Lodge and the American Legion.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Deon Knighton-Gilpatrick; son, Mark Gilpatrick, of Klamath Falls, Ore.; grandchildren, Paige DeMartini, Chase DeMartini, Jennifer Johnson, Danny Brumley, Adrianna Brumley, Jason Baltad and Jenelle Johnson. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Barbara Baltad and step-son, Earl Brumley.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lee’s name to Hospice of Havasu 365 S. Lake Havasu Ave., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
