Ellis Isaacson Rogers, 71, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, peacefully in St. George, Utah. He was born in Phoenix to Esther Isaacson Rogers and David White Rogers. He married Nina Johnson in the Mesa, Arizona Temple.
Ellis was raised in St. Johns and Mesa. He graduated from Mesa High School in 1959. He served a mission for the LDS church in Central America — one of his most beloved memories. He earned a degree from Brigham Young University and attended dental school at the University of Tennessee.
He opened his dental practice in Chandler, where he loved being a dentist and making a difference in the lives of his patients for over 35 years. He also loved skiing, riding motorcycles, reading, and dancing. He enjoyed singing in the BYU Men’s choir and various church choirs throughout his life. He loved his family unconditionally and had a firm faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is beloved and will be missed by the many people whose lives he has touched.
Ellis is survived by his wife, Nina; five children: Nathan (Raquel) Rogers, Jeremy (Lori) Rogers, Romie (Todd) Olsen, Chad Rogers, and Jacey Rogers; grandchildren: Adam and Lee Rogers, Savannah and Mia Rogers, Elise, Kara, Cassidy, and Anna Olsen; brother Yale (Jackie) Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Esther and David, sister JoAnn Judd and brother Waldo Rogers.
The Rogers family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Spring Gardens Assisted Living, Rocky Mountain Hospice, and Cliff View Assisted Living, for their diligent and tender care.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the LDS chapel on 1282 West 500 South, St. George, UT 84770.
