Toni Tomek of Walker, Ariz., departed this life Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born in Phoenix, Ariz., to the late Thomas and Matilda Grenko.
Toni was a member of the first graduating class of Gerard High School in Phoenix. She worked in the medical field for more than 25 years. One of her greatest joys was traveling the world with her husband Gene. Her favorite adventures took her to the Arctic, Antarctic and everywhere else in between. But her favorite place of all was Yellowstone National Park, where she and Gene made their annual trek.
Toni is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Matilda Grenko. She is survived by her soulmate of 41 years, Gene; sisters Patricia, Christine and Mary Jo; brother Frank; eight nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and -nephews.
There will be a funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at the St. Germaine Catholic Church, 7997 E. Dana Drive, Prescott Valley, Ariz.
