GORDIER, Frederick Basil


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, December 16, 2012 - Frederick Basil Gordier passed away Dec. 6, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 62. He was born in Detroit, Mich., to Don and Beverly Gordier March 15, 1950. He graduated from Rowland Heights High School in California in 1968. While attending Mt. Sac College, in Pomona, Calif., he also worked for Mattel Toy Co., in the City Of Industry, where he met his wife, Marie. They were married Jan. 10, 1970. Being an avid water skier and boater, Fred spent every vacation in Lake Havasu. They moved to Lake Havasu City in 1979 where Fred worked as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service until he retired. Fred will always be remembered by his family and friends, as having a keen sense of humor. He had a passion for working with his hands, renovating and improving everything around the house. He always had at least one, and more often, multiple projects in progress. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marie (Ree); his son, Matthew Gordier and his daughter-in-law- Lisa, of Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Bev Gordier.
