Douglas E. Noland Sr.
(July 9, 1931 - December 13, 2012)
Douglas E. Noland Sr., 81, of White Mountain Lake passed away Thursday December 13, 2012 after a fierce battle with cancer.
His family at his side wife Judi Redman, daughters; Dawn Blanton (Jeff) children, Arryck and Breannon. Rose Maupin (Adam) children, Ashley and Brooke. Cari Lindquist (Mike) children Dylan, Ryker and Baby on the way.
Born July 9, 1931, he proudly served in the Navy. 1948-1952, flying in VP-28s, he had a full and busy life. He loved the mountains, fishing, racing and country music, especially his cousin Merle Haggard. He loved collecting teapots, Indian items, old records and tapes, and angels. His latest passion was making and decorating canes and walking sticks.
He is survived by his brothers; Norman and Joe Burke. Other family and loved ones; Doug Jr., Kenny Allen, Georgia, Kenny Scott, Janon and their families.
He was preceded in death by his sisters; Janis and Lillian Burke, his father; Oris Noland, his mother; Claudia Matthews and his step father; John Burke.
We want to say a special thank you to Hospice Compassus for everything they did, the care, the compassion and the peace of mind they gave through all of this. And thank you Dr. Betts and Dr. Cambareri and your staff for all you did and for sending us Hospice.
Doug’s wishes for cremation and no services are being honored by Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor, Arizona.
