Vaughn Evan Cosand
On December 13th Vaughn Evan Cosand passed away after a short battle with cancer. He was 86. Vaughn was born May 8th, 1926 in Belleville, KS. He grew up in Colorado, and eventually settled his family in Flagstaff, the city he called home for 46 years.
Vaughn served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a member of the American Legion, The Veteran's of Foreign Wars, and the Elks. He loved hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and telling stories about his time with the Forest Service.
Vaughn is survived by Dorothy, his wife of 57 years, children Rock (Karen), Kathy (Joel), and Melisa, grandchildren Richard, Johnny, Kevin, and Kristy, his beloved dog Woody, his granddog George, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elesa, brothers George and Leon, and sister Dorothy.
Those who know Vaughn know he would not want anyone traveling in bad weather so a memorial service will be held on his birthday at 1:00 pm May 8th, 2013 at the Norvel Owens Chapel.
