Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, December 19, 2012 - In loving memory, Richard “Rip” Frederick Stidham, beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away at his home in Lake Havasu City on Dec. 14, 2012 at the age of 77. Rip was born on June 22, 1935 in Orange, Calif. to William Sr. and Christine Stidham. Following high school, Rip proudly served his country for four years in the United States Army. After returning home, he found a career in the aerospace industry at Northrup. Rip retired after 40 years of service. He then took on a hobby job, parking attendant at Angels Stadium, a job he loved. In 1994 Rip and his significant other, Sunny retired to Lake Havasu City. He was a devoted Eagles and VFW member for 20 years Rip is survived by his loving daughter and caregiver, Valerie Billman; daughter, Tesha Sohet; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, seven nieces and nephews; brothers, William Stidham Jr. and Charles Stidham and sisters, Betty Poirier, Peggy Bell and Janet Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Christine Stidham and two younger brothers.
