Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, December 19, 2012 - Roland Whitney Robbins Jr. passed away on Dec. 16, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 78. He was born to Roland and Kathleen "Leonard" Robbins in New York City, N.Y. on Oct. 4, 1934. Roland worked as a mechanical engineer and was a proud member of the US Army where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Roland is survived by his loving wife, Onalee Robbins of Lake Havasu City; son, Martin Robbins of Texas; daughter, Cheryl Davidson of Michigan; sisters, Ann Yarmal of Arizona, Mary Ellen Gordian of Alaska, Betty Peterson of Arizona and Christine Sandt of Arizona. A funeral service will take place on Thurs., Dec. 20, at 2 p.m. at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel with Rev. Carol Sheffield saying words of comfort. Burial will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
