Arizona Republic (Phoenix AZ) Saturday, February 5, 2011 Everett Snider Jr, 90, of Mesa, Arizona passed away Feb 1, 2011. Everett is survived by his wife, Roberta (Bobbie), son Gary and wife Dale, daughters Jean and husband Jack Johns, Sandy and husband Rich Mettille, Dale (Buttons) and husband Tom Carioto, 6 grandchildren (a 7th grandchild, Jeff Johns, preceded him in death), 14 great-grandchildren, and brother, Keith Snider. Everett served in the Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his heroic actions. Private family services are being held at the VA Cemetery, surrounded by the Arizona desert that he loved. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Everett's name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
