The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 12/21/2012 Victor W. Rafiner, 63, resident of St. Johns died Dec. 16, 2012, in Springerville. He was born Jan. 10, 1949, in Kansas City, Mo. Victor served his country in the U.S. Army, Sgt. 1st Class, and retired after 23 years; he volunteered for three tours of duty and was awarded many medals during the Vietnam War. Victor was a truck driver for Arrow Trucking for 19 years and was a Million Mile Driver. He is survived by his wife, Renee S. Rafiner of St. Johns; son William T. Rafiner of Wellston, Okla.; daughter Angie W. LaRose of St. Johns; stepdaughter: Andrea Bartberger and Reigan Baker; mother Thelma Koch of Calif.; brother Fred Koch, Jr. of Calif.; sister Brenda Whiteman of Henderson, Nev.; granddaughter Skieler; three step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Fred Koch. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, at the St. Johns City Park in St. Johns.
