Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow, Winslow, Arizona LuRee Thomas December 18, 2012 Funeral service for LuRee Thomas will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Clay Springs/Pinedale Chapel. LuRee Thomas, born April 14, 1919 in Pima, AZ entered into rest on December 18, 2012 at her home in Heber, AZ. She was the daughter of Sarah Loreno Taylor and Gerald Merrill. Married to Leland Rex Thomas on Sept. 25, 1938. They owned a small store in Pinedale, AZ, she was postmistress in Pinedale. They later moved to Tucson, AZ and owned a motel on the Casa Grande Hwy. When Leland passed away, LuRee moved to Taylor, AZ and has spent the last years of her life with her daughter on a ranch near Heber. Survived by her children, Geraldine, Ron, Niel, Robert and numerous grand children, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Leland, son Rex; grandson, Gannon and a great-granddaughter Marvilla Lynn.
