West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, December 21, 2012 Janet L. Hopkins, 79, of Avondale died Dec. 14, 2012. Mrs. Hopkins was born March 25, 1933, in Altadena, Calif., to Don and Irma Hepner. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Stephen D. Hopkins; two daughters, Jill Hoerner and Julie Cooper; one brother, Don Smith; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Holy Cross Cemetery, 10045 W. Thomas Road in Avondale. The Rev. Jeffrey A. Stachmuf will officiate.
