John Dominick Tuzzolino, 72, of Waddell died Dec. 15, 2012.
Mr. Tuzzolino was born in 1940 in Rome, N.Y., to Mary Ann Marturano Tuzzolino and Dominick Nunzio Tuzzolino.
He graduated from St. Aloysius Academy in Rome, N.Y., in 1959. He later joined the Air Force from 1963 to 1969 and was awarded an Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Ribbon for his service. He began working for Mohawk Airlines in 1963, and retired from US AIR after 38 years.
He married his wife, Pam, in 1966 in Oriskany, N.Y., at St. Stephens Catholic Church. He moved to Arizona in 1988 and joined the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic parish in 1994, where he served as a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent De Paul Society and as an usher.
He is survived by his wife, Pam; three daughters, Johanna Barron of Greenwood, Ind., Angela Tuzzolino of Phoenix and Maryanne Eastburn of Waddell; one son, John Tuzzolino of Phoenix; one sister, Elaine Smith of Florida; three brothers, Paul Tuzzolino of Utica, N.Y., Dominick Tuzzolino of Florida and Martin Tuzzolino of Oriskany, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. today at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W. Thomas Road in Avondale.
