Cody Chandler McCoy November 12, 1993 ~ December 22, 2009 It is with the greatest of sadness to announce the unexpected death of Cody Chandler McCoy, 16 years old. Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania November 12, 1993. Cody joined his Mother, Rose McCoy in Heaven on December 22, 2009. Cody was a Sophomore at Canyon Del Oro High School. He touched so many people during his short life on this earth. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, his big smile, his friendship, his love, his music and his bear hugs. Cody loved to be with his friends, dirt bike riding with his dad, skate boarding, listening to music, playing guitar and playing video games. He was such a bright young man who had dreams of becoming a Musician after high school. He leaves behind his grieving father, Jon McCoy; Step Mother, Karan Hosler of Berwyn, Pennsylvania; Grandmother, Sonya Gerhing of Montana; his Grandfather, Buzz Gerhing of Berwyn, Pennsylvania; Grandparents, Eddie and Liberty McCoy of Tucson; Uncle, Clay Hosler of Berwyn, Pennsylvania; Uncle, Kenneth McCoy of Tucson; Krystal Phares of Great Falls, Montana; numerous cousins and a countless number of friends. We will not look at this as a goodbye. We will not allow the sorrow of this tragic event to destroy us. We will embrace what you have taught us through your love and friendship and we will carry that with us. We will not be taken over by the nature of your loss, but advocate against it. Instead, we will remember the days you were in our lives and the joy and laughter you brought to us all. We will see you in our dreams. Sorrow is inevitable, but we know we will see you again. A very special thank you goes out to all of Cody's friends, our friends, our co-workers, our family and the staff at Northwest Hospital for all of your love, support and generosity that you have offered to us during this time. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2009 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, 8090 N. Northern, Tucson, AZ 85704
