BALLARD, Ruth C.

Heritage Funeral Chapel, Peoria, Arizona Ruth C. Ballard died November 25, 2012 in Sun City West, Arizona. She was born in Prairie du Chien, WI on December 22, 1915 to the late Edward and Martha Wolf. Ruth married George V. Ballard in 1941 and worked in an airplane factory during WWII. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1981. Prior to her marriage she worked as a cosmetologist. She and Jud raised their family in Hamburg, NY where she was a stay-at-home mom with her daughters. In 1983, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona to be near her sister. She loved to travel, play bridge and was an accomplished seamstress. She is survived by two daughters; Sharon (Richard) Rosiek and Barbara Gunnarson, eight grandchildren; Donna Hamilton, Michael Rosiek, Tammy Turner, Steven Rosiek, Jeanette Rosiek, Jeff Gunnarson, Eric Gunnarson and Chris Gunnarson and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her two brothers Edward and Robert Wolf, sister Vera Powers and son-in-law Ronald Gunnarson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 10:00AM at Blessed John Paul II Parish, 2025 Lakeview Avenue, Lakeview, NY with a viewing at 9:30. She will be laid to rest at Cemetery, North Evans, NY.
