WARDEN, Robert (Bob)


Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Robert Warden (May 9, 1930 - December 26, 2012) Robert Warden died December 26, 2012 at Flagstaff Medical Center. He was 82 years old and had lived in Flagstaff fifty-five years. Mr. Warden was born near Russiaville, Indiana May 9, 1930. He loved his life on the farm. When he was quite young an airplane landed in a field and offered airplane rides. Bob's love of flying began then, with his getting his license in 1947. He continued his love of flying the rest of his life. Bob attended Texas Western College (UTEP), receiving his BA and MA. After serving in Korea with the 45th Infantry, he attended the University of Arizona Law School. He moved to Flagstaff to be a deputy county attorney working with Larry Wren. He served as County Attorney in the early sixties. He was a partner in the law firm of Mangum, Wall, Stoops, and Warden. Mr. Warden is survived by his wife, Nancy, and five nieces. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and several flying organizations. The family requests donations be made to the Flagstaff Medical Center Foundation and earmarked for the North and South ICU. There will be a "Celebration of Life" held Wednesday, January 9, 2013, 2:00-5:00 PM at the law firm of Mangum, Wall, Stoops and Warden. Private graveside services have been held at the Citizens’ Cemetery, Veterans Section.
