Emily Ann Cusimano, 79, of Phoenix, loving wife, mother and sister, passed away peacefully into the adoring arms of Jesus on April 4, 2004, after a struggle with leukemia.
Emily was born in Paterson, New Jersey on December 8, 1924 and moved to Phoenix in 1952.
Emily was devoted to her children Debbie (Michael N. Cusimano, deceased), Marianne (John) Chronis, Tony (Debbie) Cusimano, Camille (Dave) Gustafson, Louis (Denise) Cusimano, and Christine (Wes) Frier, and grandchildren Rochelle Hinds, Nicole Cusimano, Stephanie Vasquez, Brian Patrick, Tony (Jr.) and Robert Cusimano, Erika, Joshua, and Cody Gustafson, Joseph, Christopher and Jason Cusimano, Colby and Carley Frier, and five great grandchildren, Marco (Jr.), Darren, and Aleesa Vasquez, and Matthew and Nathan Hinds. She also leaves behind sisters Mary Kostisak, Lilly Miley, Marge Roose, Lorraine Smith, Jeanie Romaniuk, Beatrice Noli, brother George Bashkingy.
Emily will forever be remembered for her radiant warmth, beautiful spirit, sense of humor, generosity, compassion, unconditional love and relentless faith.
Visitation Tuesday, April 6th, 2004, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 East Thomas Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass Wednesday, April 7th, at at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment at St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 2990 E. Northern Ave., Suite E-100, Phoenix, AZ 85028. Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home.
