WELLS - COLE, Nancy (Nance)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, December 27, 2012 Nancy Ann Wells-Cole Prescott Valley lost another very special person on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012. Nancy Ann Wells-Cole moved to the Valley about 20 years ago from Camarillo, Calif., where she raised her three children, Phil, Ron and Vivian. Arizona was her new start in life. Early retirement didn't suit her. She decided to attend Yavapai College and studied to become an RN. As such, she finally had a job that paid her to be the kind, caring and compassionate person she naturally was. Known as Nice Nurse Nancy, she greeted the residents of Prescott Valley at the urgent care center with a smile. She worked in a manor with people with dementia and their families. Her friends were an eclectic group of ladies and she was the focus point that brought them all together. She had no strangers in her life. No one was left out. She was a strong supporter of the Democratic party. Her love for life was shared in her cooking. She loved nothing better then to cook for others. She traveled by food. She traveled up the pacific coast with her son Ron planning their stops and destinations based on the cooking channel show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." As she traveled with her daughter Vivian, she knew each Italian region based by the wine, cheeses and pastas. She took a private cooking lesson only to discover she knew all that was instructed before her trip! She traveled to Mexico with a co-worker to prepare for a village Christmas fiesta. And it was all about learning to cook of the traditional meal. Nancy was born in Tooele, Utah, to Herald Bruce and Melva Pearl Wells. Nance was survived by her sister Nora Lee Wells, her son Philip Edward Templin and his children, Nichole, Randy, Christen, Rame, Miranda and Philip Jr.; her son Ronald Arther Templin and his children, Brenda, Valerie, Elisha and Daniel; her daughter Vivian Harris Klocko; and her seven great grandchildren. As per her wishes, there will be no ceremony, no flowers or gifts please. In the spirit of Nancy and Christmas, please choose to do something for someone who has less than you and will be honoring her. Information provided by survivors.
