Edmund Buczak passed away Dec. 19, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 90. Edmund was born Feb. 19, 1922, in Wiadrowo, Poland, to John and Stella Buczak.
Ed’s family immigrated to the United States when he was an infant. They settled in Michigan and Ed graduated from high school in the Detroit area. Ed enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the European Theatre during WWII. Ed received the Bronze Star for acts of heroic achievement in France.
Ed returned to Michigan following the war and worked for General Motors for over 30 years in Detroit, he met and married Camille Wierzbicki Franjac and was blessed with two stepchildren, Eileen and Dan Franjac. Their family was complete with the birth of their son, Brian.
Upon retirement, Ed and Camille moved to Lake Havasu City in the 1970s where they enjoyed the beauty of the lake and social activities with new friends. Ed was known by his friends and family as a very kind and gentle man.
Ed is survived by his daughter, Eileen Franjac Stegert; son, Dan Franjac; sister, Rose Galasso; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Camille; his son, Brian; brother, Chester; sisters, Hattie and Eleanor; and parents, John and Stella.
No services will be taking place. Ed’s wishes were to be cremated and interred with Camille at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
