OESCH, Mary Mae


Mary Mae Oesch, 92, of Mesa, made her transition on April 20, 2004. Mary Mae was born on January 23, 1912 in Boonville, Missouri, and graduated from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas in 1933. She married her husband Cecil in 1937 and moved to Wichita, Kansas where a son, Karl, was born in 1942. Subsequent to World War II, they moved to Kansas City, Kansas, where she and her husband resided most of their adult life. For some 30 years, Mary Mae wrote religious and inspirational work for Unity School of Christianity in Lees Summit, Missouri. In 1978, she and Cecil retired and moved to Barefoot Bay, Florida; where they were active in church and community affairs, boating, and raising orchids. Her husband preceded her in death in 1992. In 1997 she moved to Mesa to be with her son and daughter-in-law, Patricia. She was a member of Red Mountain United Methodist Church, where services were held on Friday, April 23, 2004, 2936 N.
