Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Tuesday, January 01, 2013 Conard L. Hull passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 28, 2012. He was born February 19, 1921 in Southern Arizona to Henry and Pearl Hull. He grew up in Gilbert, Arizona and graduated from Gilbert High School. Conard enlisted in the Army September 11, 1942. He was assigned to the 263 Regiment, 66th Division in Northern France. He was very proud of his service during World War II. Whether asked or not he would share stories hour after hour. He married Wanda here in Flagstaff on February 16, 1952. He owned and operated numerous services stations including the Blakely Service Station on Route 66. He was involved in Mount Elden Little League, Coconino High School sports as he supported his sons and grandchildren. He retired from Ponderosa Paper. Conard was an avid outdoorsmen and wood cutter. Although he loved to hunt elk, deer and small game, he was a fisherman and would let you row the boat whenever you wanted. He is preceded in death by his wife and 3 sons Larry (6 months), Conard Lynn (3) and Conard Lawrence, Jr, two brothers Henry and Troy and 1 sister Cora Mae. Conard is survived by his sons; Chris (Margie), Everett (Dee), Hank (Kathy), 6 grandchildren; Christopher, John, Michael, Amanda, Kortney, and Lucas, 5 great-grandchildren, his sister Ida Moriarty and numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held Wednesday January 2, 2013 from 5 to 7 at Lozano’s Flagstaff Mortuary, 2545 N. 4th Street, Flagstaff. Funeral Services will be Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Elk’s Lodge, 2101 N. San Francisco Street, followed by a Military burial at Citizens Cemetery. A Celebration of Conard’s Life will be at Starlite Lanes following services. Services are under the direction of Lozano’s Flagstaff Mortuary. www.FlagstaffMortuary.com.
