She was born Oct. 18, 1952, in San Francisco, Calif., the daughter of William Murphy and Beverly Lund Murphy. Michele was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband Dale Slaker; son Kevin Slaker of Austin, Texas; daughters: Cyndie Schrapp and Belinda Holekamp, both of Austin, and Jennifer Slaker of Springerville; sister Charis Mariger and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the Springerville Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Springerville.
