Dorothy Drennan Dalton, 81 of Phoenix, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and educator, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord on April 5th, 2004.
Dorothy was born September 14, 1922 in Champaigne County, Ohio and became a Phoenix resident in 1946. Since that time Dorothy has devoted her life, and touched the lives of countless students, and has taught mostly first graders, how to read, write and add. As an educator, Dorothy has received several awards for her dedication to teaching, her most treasured was the Silver Apple award in 1994 from Bashas' and Channel 3, who picks the most outstanding teacher of the year.
Anyone who met Dorothy knew what a truly beautiful Lady she was. She accepted everyone into her heart and denied no one.
Dorothy was preceded in death by the love of her life, Charles Raymon Dalton, her husband for 60 years. She is survived by the real treasures of her life, three sons, Ray, Charlie and Larry, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Viewing on Thursday, April 8th. Services Friday, April 9th, all at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paradise Valley Christian School, 2401 East Cactus Road, Phoenix, AZ 85032.
