WOLF, James Gordon (Jim)


Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Thursday, January 03, 2013 James Gordon “Jim” Wolf of Flagstaff, AZ, died at his home Dec. 30, 2012. He was born July 27, 1944, in Cleveland, OH, to Mildred (Purcell) and Eldon “Bud” Wolf. The family moved to the Kansas City, KS, area and Jim attended Shawnee Mission, KS, schools. He earned a Bachelor (1967) and Master (1968) degrees in American History from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Ks. He married Charlotte Ellen Wilkins in 1967. They divorced in 1981. Jim was employed by Social Rehabilitation Services in Parsons, KS, before relocating to Flagstaff, AZ. He was a successful businessman in Flagstaff owning and managing Crazy Bill’s Steak House and Saloon until his retirement. He spent his retirement years enjoying golf and working as a Golf Ranger for the Continental Country Club Golf Course in Flagstaff. He was preceded in death by his parents and two older brothers, John and Richard. He is survived by a son, Jason Wolf, of Queen Creek, AZ, a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth, two grandchildren, Jack and Ella, and several nieces and nephews.
