Paul R. Price, born Dec. 6, 1941, in Gladwin, Mich., passed away Dec. 29, 2012, in Prescott, Ariz.
Services will be 11 a.m. Jan. 10, 2013, at Prescott Valley United Methodist Church, 8944 E. Sommer Drive, Prescott Valley.

Paul R. Price, 71, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., passed away on Dec. 29, 2012. He was born in Gladwin, Mich., on Dec. 6, 1941, to Richard and Clarice Price, who preceded him in death.
Paul was an outstanding musician, playing the cornet all his life. He served in the army from 1962 to 1965 and was part of the 5th Army Band. Paul played in a band, the "Back Room Gang," a Dixieland jazz band in Traverse City, Mich., for 22 years. They played every Friday night at Dill's Olde Town Saloon and were a Traverse City fixture.
Paul is survived by his wife, Lynne; his brother, Jay Price (Kathie); his daughter, Sherri Price; his granddaughter, Krysta; and two great-grandchildren, Trinity and Valarie.
He is also survived by Lynne's daughters, Catherine (Michael) Sanchez and their son, Joaquin, and Rosemary (John) Wolfe and their daughters, Josie and Evie.
There will be a memorial service 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at the Prescott Valley United Methodist Church on Sommer Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Good Samaritan Hospice in Prescott or to the Prescott Valley United Methodist Church in Prescott Valley.
