Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley, Arizona Kimberly Joanna Cox October 5, 1966 ~ January 2, 2013 Kimberly Joanna Cox, born October 5, 1966 in La Plata, Maryland, passed away on January 2, 2013 after a four year battle with cancer. During that time she underwent four operations. Chemo and radiation did not work and she could not be operated on where the last cancerous node was located. She mostly lived in Frederick, Maryland while attending elementary and high school. She attended the University of Arizona where she received her degree in Electrical Engineering. Following her graduation she was employed by Ratheon Corp. until she passed away. While working at Raytheon she attended the University of Phoenix in Tucson where she received an MBA-T. She was a very loving daughter and was thought well of by all of her fellow coworkers. She leaves behind her father, John B. Cox and mother, Helen Christine Cox. A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 pm Saturday January 5, 2013 at Vistoso Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
