PRESSON, Oda Ray

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, January 04, 2013 Oda Ray Presson, 90, of Phoenix, died Dec. 29, 2012, in Goodyear. Mr. Presson was born Sept. 20, 1922, in Mansfield, Tenn. He moved to Arizona in 1961 where he owned Ray's Texaco Station at 51st Avenue and Thomas Road for 27 years. He served as a private first class in the Army and was an elder, deacon and usher at Starlight Baptist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Kathy Shoemaker; two brothers, Eztira and Aaron Presson; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 10 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
