McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel, Safford, Arizona Rufina G Lopez July 18, 1931 ~ January 7, 2013 Rufina G. Lopez, 81, of Duncan, AZ., passed away January 7, 2013 in Hayden, AZ. Rufina was born July 18, 1931 to Juan R. & Felipa Ramirez Gonzales in Kelton, AZ. Rufina married Tomas and together they had 5 children; Felipa, Manuel, Enrique, Ernesto & Damianna Lopez. She loved being a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Beneficio Propio. Rufina liked cooking, making tortillas, being outside with her pecans & her garden and making quilts. Most of all she loved being with her grandchildren. Rufina had the opportunity to travel to Germany and experience a different culture. Rufina is survived by her children; Felipe Sublasky, Manuel, Enrique, Ernesto & Damianna Lopez, siblings; Manuel Gonzales, Juan (Bertha) Gonzales, Leo (Lorraine) Gonzales, Luis (Gloria) Gonzales, Mary Helen Fowler and Carolina (Hector) Cervantez, 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Tomas, parents; Juan & Felipa Gonzales, brother; Antonio Gonzales and sisters Maria Cornejo & Concha Huerta. Services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Duncan with viewing at 8 a.m., Rosary at 9 a.m. and Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m.. Interment following in the Duncan Cemetery.
