Nancy Ann Hartzell, 56, died Jan. 9, 2013, in Glendale, after a long battle with cancer. She was born July 1,1956 in Bad-Cannstadt, Germany to Alfred and Irma Thornhill.

She is survived by her husband, Bret; brother Alfred Jr.; children: Kelsey and Lani; Tim and Christine and grandchildren: Bjorn, Jonah and Brooklyn.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, Immanuel Lutheran Church, 4839 Valerie Lane in Lakeside.
