COX, Brian Timothy


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, January 9, 2013 - Jan. 3, 2013, ushered into heaven the life of Brian Timothy Cox. He was born at Tripler Army Hospital in Hawaii, on April 17, 1974, and died Jan. 3 in Eureka, Calif., after a two-year battle with brain cancer. He was a graduate of Mt. Ararat High School in Topsham, Maine, class of 1992, and was a member of a band, “Stick Figure,” which was popular on the East Coast. He was also a prolific artist. He was a free spirit, full of enthusiasm for life and talented beyond measure. He was well loved by all who came in contact with him. Brian was the son of Bill and Donna Cox of Lake Havasu City and the brother to Eric Cox of Queen Creek; Ian Cox of Lake Havasu City; and Todd Cox of Petaluma, Calif. He leaves behind two nephews, Caelan Rainey and William Cox; one niece, Brenna Cox; grandmother Fritz Cox of Circleville, Ohio; three uncles, Steve Kitzman of Grand Junction, Colo., Curt Kitzman of Tempe, and Mike Cox of Dallas, Texas, and numerous cousins and relatives. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Everett and Flo Kitzman of Lake Havasu City and Grandfather Cox of Circleville, Ohio. He was cremated in San Francisco where he died and his organs were given to people in need of an organ donation. A wake for Brian will take place in Petaluma to celebrate his unique life.
