MARTINEZ, Bertha

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona December 2005 Bertha Martinez, 72, of Phoenix, AZ peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 3, 2005. Bertha was born and raised in Flagstaff, AZ. She was married on October 5, 1956 and later moved to Phoenix. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend touching many lives. It is her love, faith, and values we will cherish and remember. She will always be in our hearts. Bertha was preceded in death by her son, John V. Martinez, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John V. Martinez, Sr., 6 children; Juanita (Ken) Wyman, Carmen (Rafael) Hernandez, Linda (Ricardo) Alvidrez, Loretta (Pedro) Munoz, Michael Martinez, John V. (Pat) Martinez, III, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, December 9, 2005 with a 6:30 PM prayer service at Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home, 717 West Dobbins Road, Phx., AZ. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM, Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005 at Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home.
