MARTINEZ, SR., John Valentino

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona December 2005 John Valentino Martinez, Sr., 74, of Phoenix, AZ, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on December 24, 2005. John was born and raised in Litchfield Park, AZ. He was married on October 5, 1956 and later moved to Phoenix. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend touching many lives. It is his love, faith, and values we will cherish and remember. He will always be in our hearts. John was preceded in death by his son, John V. Martinez, Jr. and lost his loving wife of 49 years just 21 days prior to his own death. He is survived by his children; Juanita (Ken) Wyman, Carmen (Rafael) Hernandez, Linda (Ricardo) Alvidrez, Loretta (Pedro) Munoz, Michael Martinez, John V. (Pat) Martinez, III, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Visitation is 9:00-11:00 AM, with a 10 AM Rosary, Friday, December 30, 2005 with an 11:00 AM funeral Mass to follow.
