Violet Tromburg was born in La Fleche, Saskatchewan, Canada, April 1, 1925, to Henry and Mary Tromburg. Her father was a minister and moved the family to North Dakota, Utah and finally settled in Nampa, Idaho. She was admitted as a U. S. citizen on Sept. 20, 1941. At 19, she moved to Seattle, Wash., and began her lifetime career working for the U.S. Government. She met Henry (Hank) Johnson at Seattle First Church of the Nazarene and they married in 1952. They eventually moved to Southern California where in 1958, they became the proud parents of the their only child, Debra. In 1969, they moved to Idaho, where she enjoyed being near her family. Hank was laid to rest in 1977. After retiring, she met and married Fuller McCombs in Lake Havasu City. They spent many happy years together. She was a loving grandmother to her grandsons, Jesse and Jake. She has made an everlasting influence on their lives. Violet will always be remembered for playing the piano and singing at church and home with family. Violet was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Tromburg; and two brothers, Herman and Clarence Tromburg. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Randy West, of Lake Havasu City; Jesse West, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Jacob West, of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Grace Brewster, of Portland, Ore., and Pearl Kreps, of Caldwell, Idaho; four brothers, John of Middleton, of Idaho. Stanley of Meridian, Idaho, Earl of Chelan, of Washington, and Edgar, of Nampa, Idaho, and their spouses; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will take place for all family and friends at College Church of the Nazarene in Nampa Idaho, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m. Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com
