George Robert Lopez, age 88, a 22-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 peacefully at home with his children and grandchildren at his side.
George was born on February 22, 1924 in Los Angeles, Calif. He served in the U.S. Army, 503rd Airborne RCT, in WWII. He retired from the Aerospace Industry and the Sheet Metal Fabrication Industry in California in 1992 and moved to Bullhead City. He retired from housekeeping at Harrah's in Laughlin, Nev. in 2011 after working there for 19 years.
George was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Martha; sister, Mercy; and brother, Ray.
He is survived by two daughters, Eileen Brown and Teresa Flagler, both of Bullhead City; son, Robert G. Lopez of Lakewood, Calif.; sister, Bea Cortez of Norwalk, Calif.; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
At George's request, services will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, Calif.
