THORP, Victor Fay (Vic)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona September 2006 Victor Fay Thorp, 88, of Glendale, Arizona passed away September 4, 2006. Vic was born (1 of 11children) on March 8, 1918 in Bridgewater Township, Ohio. He was married to his late wife Eleanor for 56 blessed years, retired from ITT Cannon as a Quality Control Inspector and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Vic is survived by four children Ginger (John) Cloud, Dottie (Ken) Anderson, Robert Victor (Lindsay) Thorp and Vickie Thorp. He was a loving grandfather to 10 surviving grandchildren, Tracie Radtke, Jason West, Troy Anderson, Jodi Kruse, Kenny Anderson, Tami Goldman, Aaron Thorp, Stephen Thorp, Travis Thorp and Brian Cloud. He has 37 surviving great grandchildren and a new great grandson, Grayson Victor, due in September. A viewing will be held Friday, September 8th, from 7 to 9 pm. at the Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary at 7924 N. 59th Ave. in Glendale, Arizona. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 9th, at 10:00 am. at the Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary. Dad, you were the solid rock we looked to, you possessed a heart of gold, an unconditional love for your family and you truly were the wind beneath our wings. You were a dear father, grandfather, friend and special man who will be missed by all the lives you touched. As we say goodbye to your precious journey with us, the Lord rejoices and opens his arms and says, "Welcome Home Vic, a job well done my Good and Faithful Servant."
