Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Tuesday, January 15, 2013 Ofelia Quintana Aragon, 92, formerly of Claypool, Ariz. passed away on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 in Globe, Ariz. She was born Nov. 10, 1920 in San Geronimo, N.M. to Tranquilino and Victoria Quintana. She was the second eldest of eight children. Ofelia was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso; sons, Nappy and Ronnie; daughter, Carmen; and sons-in-law, Warren and Joe. She arrived in the Miami area in 1940 along with her husband and children and together they enjoyed the lakes, mountains and rivers of the area. Her achievements included employment in the Globe-Miami area for many years. At one time Ofelia owned a clothes alteration shop in Globe. While being employed at the Globe Hospital, she furthered her education and obtained her GED. Ofelia is survived by her children, Toni Wampole of Central Heights, Ariz., Nancy Haught of Mesa, Ariz., Josephine Hernandez (Narciso) of Oregon, Mike Aragon of Golden Shores, Ariz., and Jim Aragon (Charlotte) of Globe, Ariz. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Miami, Ariz. Viewing will be at 9 a.m. with Rosary and Mass to follow. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lamont Mortuary of Globe, Globe, Arizona Ofelia Aragon Phillips Ofelia Aragon Phillips, age 92, of Topock, AZ passed away on January 12, 2013 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Globe. She was born in San Geronimo, NM on November 10, 1920, Daughter of Tranquilano and Victoria (Swabacher) Quintana. She was an Office Administrator for Gila General Hospital. Preceded in death by her first husband Alfonso Aragon, her son Napoleon ‘Happy” Aragon and Paul R. Aragon, her daughter Carmen Campos. Ofelia is survived by her husband Lyle Phillips, her children Jim Aragon, (Charlotte) Mike Aragon, Toni Wampole (Warren), Nancy Haught and JoAnn Hernandez (Narcisso), her brother Leo Quintana, 21 grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 9:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami, AZ Followed by Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Family requests memorial be sent to: Golden Shores Volunteer Fire Dept. – P.O.
